Children, Adolescents & Their Families | Life Transitions, Grief & Loss | Social Anxiety | Women’s Issues | LGBTQ+ Identities | 10+
In a world that can often feel invalidating and apathetic to the difficulties of life, I believe that every individual deserves to be fully seen and understood for who they are, and that within the context of a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship, being fully witnessed can help individuals access healing and greater awareness of their full potential.
My goal as a therapist is to provide you with safety and support, partnering with you as a guide as you process intense emotions, navigate personal barriers, and work towards your version of a more fulfilling and purposeful life.
I work with clients of all identities, backgrounds, and beliefs who are facing challenges due to anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief & loss, relational or family conflict, and distress due to trauma. Every individual client’s situation and struggles are unique, and I aim to provide the type of therapeutic space where you can show up, just as you are, and find healing as we learn together about your struggles and work together to alleviate them.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe that you are the expert on yourself and your personal experiences, which means we must work as equal partners on your therapeutic journey. To me, almost all human behaviors and emotional reactions serve a purpose and make sense within each individual’s context, meaning that I listen to you with understanding, respect, and nonjudgment, with a trauma-informed lens. Additionally, individuals exist as products of their social environments, so my approach is systems-based, rooted in principles of social justice and empowerment.
It takes vulnerability and courage to embark on a new therapeutic journey, whether it is your first time in therapy or you’ve done it before. I understand that it can be scary to trust someone new as you search for the right fit for you. I invite you to see if I could be the right therapist for you. I promise to provide a soft place for you to land as you explore what is best for you.
I enjoy my free time reading romance/fantasy books, kayaking/paddle boarding, spending time in nature, traveling, and exploring new places
